The Broncos defense had numerous lapses last season

QB Kyle Orton will once again be the starter as he has proven to be an unspectacular but capable player at the pro level. He finished the season with 3,802 passing yards, completing 62.1% of his attempts. He threw for 21 TD's against 12 interceptions for a passer rating of 86.8.

One major loss on offense will be WR Brandon Marshall, who was traded to Miami back Eddie Royal in April. Even though he wanted to be traded before last season, he ended the year with 101 receptions for 1,120 yards. That production will be hard to replace with their current core of receivers. They have to hope that first round pick, WR Demaryius Thomas can quickly adapt to the pro game.

Much of the offseason chatter about Denver has revolved around them using their other pick in the first round to select QB Tim Tebow. Even though he is currently listed as third on the depth chart, do not be surprised if they find a way to work him into the lineup for some wildcat type plays.

The Broncos defense had numerous lapses last season Champ Bailey but still finished the season ranked seventh overall and 12th in total points allowed. While they were ranked third against the pass they had trouble stopping the run, ending up ranked 26th in rushing yards allowed. Since they primarily used the draft to address the offensive side of the ball, they will be going with pretty much the same roster as last year. They did add LB Akin Ayodele as a free agent from Miami and resigned DE Elvis Dumervil to a restricted free agent tender.

Heisman trophy-winning quarterback Colt McCoy married his longtime girlfriend Rachel Glandorf over the weekend, and friends led by best man and former Texas teammate Jordan Shipley were so enraptured that they wrote a song for McCoy and his bride set to country music.

According to TMZ and various other entertainment news outlets, the ode contained a reference to Tim Tebow, a previous Heisman trophy winner with the Florida Gators now with the new Denver Broncos jerseys.

People at the reception reportedly booed when Tebow's name was brought into the lyrics. Or so said TMZ and other sites that posted the video.

McCoy, of course, is a rookie with the Cleveland Browns after a storied career as quarterback of the Texas Longhorns. Shipley was a draft pick of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Training camp starts soon, and you can bet any honeymoon with Browns fans will be short — if McCoy even gets on the field for any length of time this season.

The same can be said for Tebow, as some wonder how much impact he will have as a rookie with the Broncos jerseys.
